Running the Rainbow

I loved this race! It was my perfect race of the season. I hit my goal time exactly. I PRed by 2:45 since the Rock n Roll in October '11. The weather was perfect. I wore my new compression socks, which I loved. I really loved the fire station part of the race, where all the firefighters had their hands out for a high five in the middle of the fire station. Very cool! This finishes up my running races for a while. I have the Boulder Sprint Triathlon on 6/17 & then I think I might consider running a marathon at the end of the year. Anyone heard of the American Discovery Trail Marathon in Colorado Springs? It is tempting....

  This race went very well. it feels so good to be finally recovered from my injury. I loved this course 100. The course felt very similar to Rock n Roll Denver but without all the expense. There were bands on the course & bounce houses for my kids to jump in at the end. It was perfect weather, too. I had a great time! The only bummer was that my shoe came untied at around the mile 3 mark & it was very hard to stop to tie it since there were so many people. But, it all worked out in the end.
