Great Wolf Lodge

There were tons of people at the lodge when we arrived. We couldn't believe how big the place was. We arrived at 1pm and our room was already ready for us.

The kids loved the little den with a bunk bed that had their own TV in it. All of the kids also got wolf ears.

There were many employees doing dances and arts and crafts.

We immediately went to the pool and pretty much didn't leave until we needed to eat.

This ride was my favorite! The floor drops out from underneath you go into a 20 foot free fall. We went on this at least a dozen times. Every time I did the ride, I would stand up with my feet shaking.

This was Lloyd's favorite ride. It is a huge tube that goes in a slide similar to a toilet bowl

Camilla and Lloyd spent hours in the wave pool, jumping over the waves.

Connor's back got all beat up from going on so many rides.

We spent 2 full days in this pool area and came out looking like prunes. Before we left, we let the kids play in the arcades. The kids were also very excited because we bought them each a new water bottle.

Estes Park was the perfect place to get away from fireworks. Our campground was perfect and was full of families so we got peace and quiet, even on the 4th of July. There was no fire ban so we spent a lot of time sitting around the fire and talking.  I truly believe that these trips bond our family closer together. Desert Heat & Big Wins: Our Phoenix Adventure March 17-24, 2026

High in a towering saguaro near Mesa and Apache Junction, a small woodpecker peeked from its hollowed nest to survey the desert before swiftly vanishing back into the shadows. . Of course, I couldn't visit Mesa without hitting the trails. Before the swim meet humidity took over my day, I headed out to  Usery Mountain Regional Park  for a  4.5 mile run .  Coming from the higher elevations of Castle Rock, I thought I’d be ready for the challenge, but the Sonoran Desert is its own beast. The terrain at Usery is beautiful sweeping views of the Goldfield Mountains and trails lined with those architectural Saguaros, even though I was terrified of seeing a rattlesnake. We kicked off the trip with a visit to Saguaro Lake, spending the day at Butcher Jones Beach. From Boise to the Podium: Records, Firsts, and Unforgettable Memories March 11-17 2026

What an incredible week in Boise! Between the intense competition, personal milestones, and some much-needed team bonding, it’s safe to say this trip will go down in the books as a massive success. I am so incredibly proud of Carly. She had an absolute standout meet, proving that all her hard work is paying off in a big way. Among her highlights: • Helping set a new team record in the 400 relay. • Securing a hard-earned time cut in the 200 free. • Helping the ROCK relay team bring the heat to earn 3rd place in the 800 relay, edging out 4th place by a nail-biting .07 seconds! Best of all, Carly is officially heading home with a medal! It wasn't just a big week for the swimmers; it was a huge milestone for me, too. I had my very first experience officiating at the elite level! Getting to work the deck alongside so many fantastic Colorado officials was an absolute honor and an experience I won't soon forget.
