Start of Spring Soccer March 18,2017

We had back to back games today. Carly's game was first and started at 10am. Carly still plays on a small field and they do not allow goalkeepers. The coach of the team we were playing showed up late and then stuck a girl in the goal as a goalkeeper. I told her that they do not allow that in this league and she told me that she is not using a goalkeeper. When our team moved to the other side of the field, her goalkeeper stayed right in front of the goal. I told the coach that her player is not following the rules and she argued with me. I got angry but kept my cool. All of the players on my team were telling me that the other team was cheating and I said that they were, but we need to be better and play by the rules. Their cheating caused us to lose 5-1, so I talked to the director. The director said that she will keep a close eye on this team for future games.

Connor's game was next and they won by a lot. Connor played well but was very confused about where he was supposed to stay for his position. This is completely understandable, since Connor has only played one season of soccer. He never learned positions.

Camilla's game was last. She played goalie for the 1st half and saved about 5 goals. Her coach then moved her up to striker for the second half and she did well with that too. Her teammates gave her many congratulations and I told her that she played the best I had ever seen.
