Camilla's 9th Birthday
I have seen the biggest change in Camilla over the last year. She made 2 really good friends at school this year, Zoelie and Mikayli. These girls laugh and play together so nicely. She recently bought friendship necklaces for them and they are definitely best buds.
Instead of having a big party, she asked if she could invite her 2 best friends to go roller skating and to White Chocolate Grill.
We found out that Mikayli and Zoelie had never roller-skated before when we arrived at the rink. They held onto the wall the entire time and Camilla, Carly, and Carly helped them by holding their hands. When they got exhausted, we took a break and got Icees.
We were starting to think that Mikayli and Zoelie didn't like skating. They didn't want to go back out to skate. So, I told Camilla to go out and skate a few fast laps. When Mikayli and Zoelie saw Camilla having so much fun, they went back out. Zoelie started skating really well!
Connor, Camilla, and Carly all played Limbo and Camilla was the 2nd to last person left. She almost won! Camilla has become so much more brave and ambitious this year.
I cannot believe how brave she is on the soccer field. I could never play goalie! That ball comes flying at her and she runs right to it. It is amazing! She has also become an amazing reader, writer, and speller. It is really hard to find a word that she cannot spell.
After skating, we went to White Chocolate Grill. All of the girls had dolls, so we had 4 dolls join us at the table with their little seats.
Lloyd spoiled the girls and ordered 3 deserts. We had the best banana pie, cheesecake, and brownies.
It was so cute to listen to the girls playing with their dolls in the backseat on the way home. They have the biggest imaginations.
I was able to see what a great friend Camilla is. She made sure to be kind and welcoming to both of her friends and her family too. No one felt left out.
She got a shopkins present, which I had never seen before. I guess they are little characters based off of grocery items. There is even a toilet paper shopkin.
These girls were so giggly and funny to watch.
A couple people said, "Man! You have your hands full!"
Her favorite present from her friends was a American Girl spa set.
Happy 9th Birthday to my sweet Camilla!!!
