Qinhuangdao
We were on the train from 12am-6:30am and the girls slept pretty well.
We arrived at the beach by about 7am and played in the sand when there wasn't many people at the beach yet.
We went to a beach called Pigeon Nest Park. Migratory birds pass through here every year and is a good place for bird watching.
The girls got to feed the birds.
Nandaihe has a soft sand beach and clear and transparent sea water. We had very good food here.
We had papaya smoothies with boba for breakfast.
At the eastern end of Beidaihe, Biluota Sear Bar Park had a fun beach to play at with entertainment and a food street.
The girls collected so many seashells.
In the summer, you can take a Gondola to an island with a water park.
I went for a run along the river and came across this sign. I thought, "Well, that is helpful!" NOT!
Qinhuangdao's name comes from one of the famous figures of Chinese history, Emperor Qin Shi Huang, who came to Qinhuangdao for the military. This place used to be a location for national leaders to come in the summer. There is a majestic mountain pass where the Great Wall meets the ocean at Bahai sea.
Tiger Stone Marine Park has many different types of reefs spread out across the park. They look like a group of tigers, some scattered on the beach and some in the jungle. Standing on the reef, you can hear the sound of the sea and enjoy the scenery. There is a small dock in the park for boats and fishing.
At the eastern end of Beidaihe, Biluota Sea Bar Park offered a vibrant seaside atmosphere with a dynamic nightlife, measure activities, performances, and a food street.
We were in a place that was not very popular for foreigners. We did not see a single foreigner for the whole time we were there. Many people stared at us and asked to take pictures with us.
It was very hard to come back to Beijing after being in a much less crowded town by the beach for a few days.
